"The Loudoun Community Cat Coalition has been wonderful in containing the feral cat population in this area. My husband and I found ourselves in a bad situation when our neighbors moved and left a feral colony they had been feeding. We didn't have any cats but several cats showed up in our barn. Cats are okay to have on a farm, so we fed them. Two were in sad shape so we made a trip to the Vet, and found out how expensive it can be. Several more showed up and two of those had kittens. My husband and I are in our seventies; we could feed these cats but could not catch them to have them spayed or neutered. Someone told us about the Loudoun Community Cat Coalition. When I contacted them they responded right away; sent two volunteers to trap, then took the cats to a clinic to have them spayed and neutered. There were so many cats and this had to be done several times. Everyone we worked with has been very helpful and friendly. Most of the cats were returned (kittens adopted) and we now have a feral colony but with zero population growth. We are very grateful for their help.
