Nigeria has the highest breast cancer mortality rate in Africa and is among the highest globally. Nigerian women are almost 5x less likely to receive a mammogram as those in the U.S. Limited diagnostic and treatment access leads to late-stage detection and much lower survival rates.

In fact, in Jos, a city of over 1 million people, there is only one working mammogram machine, and it does not have biopsy capabilities.
