One victim of domestic violence and their children to begin their journey from fear and isolation to freedom by calling the Empowerhouse 24-hour hotline and starting their safety plan with an advocate
One night of shelter and services for a client and a child at the Haven Shelter.
One Client can access the 24-hour hotline and then complete a cycle of education support groups to aid in the recovery from domestic violence and help them to achieve hope and freedom (3 months or longer)
Pays for a child to attend the weekly Forgotten Victims education support group (3 months or longer)
Prevention: to educate one class at area middle or high school with a presentation on teen dating violence and healthy relationships
Supports one domestic violence victim through the civil or criminal court system, (the duration of t his process may be months and sometimes years).
the entire stay and services at our domestic violence shelter for a child exposed to domestic violence while accompanying their parent (Average stay is 1 month)
Pays for a survivor of domestic violence to be safely sheltered, to obtain a protective order and return home
pays for shelter and services to support one family to obtain safety during their shelter stay and move toward independence
helps us to move one family experiencing domestic violence into their own housing, an initiative toward sustaining them with services and rental subsidies until they achieve financial stability and function independently of charitable community support
