As an Ornithology volunteer and frequent visitor, I give to Eagle Creek Park through the Foundation because I believe the city of Indianapolis undervalues the importance of this increasingly valuable resource. The Parks Department is chronically underfunded, yet Eagle Creek Park is one of the best city parks in the US. It is known among Indiana birdwatchers (and beyond) as the best location to see an incredible array of species in central Indiana. It is an oasis for wildlife in an urban landscape.
