In 2012-2013 Capital Community College is marking the 10th anniversary of the opening of its campus in downtown Hartford and its 45th year as a two-year, degree granting institution that has been a stepping stone to higher education and professional careers for generations of Greater Hartford residents.
For students and faculty, it’s been a decade of rapidly rising enrollments, new programs of study and collaborations that would not have been possible anywhere else but in the heart of the Capital City’s business and cultural district.
One thing that has not changed about Capital Community College is its accessibility for students of limited financial means and working adults who otherwise would not pursue a postsecondary education.
Capital, with a mission to provide residents with a “quality, affordable education”, lowers the cost roadblock that so many people encounter in pursuit of college. Students are getting an education here that is vital to a rewarding job, career and life.
We invite you to help the College celebrate 10 years of innovation and growth in downtown Hartford with a contribution to the Capital Community College Foundation.
Your generosity – no matter the amount -- will enable the College to continue “creating access and changing lives” in the communities that the College serves.
